super

Python 3.11

Return a proxy object that delegates method calls to a parent or sibling class of type. This is useful for accessing inherited methods that have been overridden in a class.

Syntax

PYTHON
class super

Examples

Example 1
PYTHON
class C(B):
    def method(self, arg):
        super().method(arg) This does the same thing as:
                                super(C, self).method(arg)
